HalloThankaChristmaNew 2008

HalloThankaChristmaNew… is only the coolest party around. You celebrate all 4 holidays in one night. You come dressed in a costume, you eat turkey, you do a gift exchange, a champagne toast at midnight, and you consume endless amounts of booze… although I could not cause I had to work later that night.

I took these pics with my new camera… I love it!

hound dog dressed as a pumpkin!

Clayton… chillin in his crazy costume. I really wanted him to go as Jesus but he didn’t do it.

The Ryan Gifford dressed up as jagerbomb… one of the most creative costumes I have ever seen.

Mr. Jagerbomb himself… tipping back a cold one.

notice the 3 figurines on the fridge… Joseph, Mary, and a witch…. classic.

Departure

I was browsing through some old journal entries, this one I wrote on October 3, 2002.

It was not until recently, when I departed from “religion” that I began to understand my relationship with God. My departure from church was an attempt to grow closer to God. I did not want to go to church so I simply did not go. Why should we feel that we always have to go to church because that is what we are supposed to do? I want to go to church for the right reasons. I needed time away so God could bring that desire back into my heart. I have to believe it 100% in my heart for it to be real to me.

sometimes my life feels as lonely as this street is at 3 am.

I feel like I should I print this picture and post it at my desk…sometimes we all need to stop and relax. I have been meaning to have a sabbath day once a week. A time for me and God to spend quality time together. To talk, laugh, and cry. For me to be angry, to be honest with God. Brutally honest on how I feel.

Pics from Ryan and Carrie’s Wedding

Ryan and Carrie’s wedding was a lot of fun but what made it awesome was these two kids dressed up in army outfits outside of the church with fake guns shooting wedding attendees as they went in. I for one thought this was hilarious and I also thought who lets their kids do this. But then I thought I might let my kids do this but I would give them paintball guns instead. I only wish I would have thought to have thrown an imaginary grenade in their direction and yelled fire in the hole.

I felt safer knowing that these kids were protecting us

video shoot at ault park

Today, winding road media filmed a wedding. We have 7 under our belt so far. We got some really good footage. We started out at Ault Park which is beautiful especially this time of year, then moved on to the ceremony which was at St. Ignatius and then went to twin lanterns for the reception. The groom and his friends were really good “break dancers”, so we got some cool footage of them doing their thing. I will post some of that footage on here when I get it edited out. Enjoy some pics I snapped from the events today.

Chelsea and Jason’s Wedding

Had a great time at Chelsea and Jason’s Wedding. Me and Josh spent the whole day filming. It was a long day but it was fun. We got some good footage which will be posted on the winding road media blog when we get up it and running. I snapped these pics at the wedding.
